I was inspired by the picture of Ruth and Edith Gowin. The two are related and show their relation in the title and the picture. I wanted to create a piece of work that gave homage to my family and the creation my parents have made.

Proposal

For my proposal I would like to create a book that commemorates my time at Oswego University. I have been a student at Suny Oswego for almost two years now and in those two years I have grown as an arist and an individual. When I came to OSwego I knew nobody, but within the first few hours after my family had dropped me off and helped me unpack I began to make friends. It was a matter of hours before I decided I wanted to join the fraternity all my roommates were in because I felt at home away from home. Oswego has given me so much and I have made so many friends and memories in this place and I want to document as many of my senior year as possible, which is why I would like to create my blurb book on the memories and times that have helped to change and mold me into the person I am today.

Twilight on the Emerald Coast
-http://www.blurb.com/books/931254
This book is titled Twilight on the Emerald Coast. The author shares his inspiration for the book stating: “Twilight on the Emerald Coast is about freedom dreaming can bring and the beauty in Gods hand painting the skies, shore and sea with brilliant colors”. This book hits close to home because just outside our windows we can see some of the most magnificent sunsets in New York State. Though Oswego weather is usually less than desirable when it is favorable conditions and the sky is clear at night we can see some of the nicest sunset skies comparable to those in the book even though the beaches and shores in the book are a little nicer.

Ressler Propane
-http://www.blurb.com/books/931363
This book is titled Ressler Propane. As you flip through the pages it shows the development of a family business that has moved through four generations. This book gives life and visual aids to the progression of the business and the growth of the family.

Red Book
-http://www.blurb.com/books/931946
This book is titled Red Book. As you turn each page the pictures have no relation to one another. The images are almost a little disturbing and are made completely open to ones interpretation. Each image is followed by a statement from the author which makes you question the true meaning of the book.

Little Big Words
-http://www.blurb.com/books/931534
The book is titled Little Big Words. The authors intention is for you to be the author. It is a baby book to document all the words and memories you share with your child. This is a great idea even though the book is kind of generic it enables the author to keep track of those memories we sometimes can lose as time marches on.
(For some reason the picture wouldn’t save the cover is of a baby smiling in a cartoon style)

The NRV588 at the Bonneville Salt Flats
-http://www.blurb.com/books/931179
The book is titled The NRV588 at the Bonneville Salt Flats. The author documents his trials tribulations and effort towards his speed record at the Salt Flats. Upon his Norton we can see his progression and hard work. The book is filled with beautifully crafter still shots of the motorcycle and its rider which show the trusting relationship each has with one another because without one the other could not survive.
